Leviathans are colossal aquatic predators found in the oceans of Shear, they are the largest creatures seen in Evolve and Evolve Stage 2 (it might be surpassed in Hunters Quest however) even dwarfing the Monsters themselves.

Appearance

They are enormous sea creatures that likely hunted in deep waters, they have enormous jaws capable of swallowing a Hunter whole and 4 fins, they have spikes on their backs and a horn on their heads.

Locations

Leviathans cannot be found alive however they can be found on Weather Control Tower near the beach where a pack of Reavers have made a home in its corpse and in the Broken Hill Murder Pits where it can be found in the Slaughterhouse area of the map.

Behavior

While we can never see one in game we can guess what they were like based on their appearances, they were likely extremely powerful if not unrivaled aquatic predators that could easily dispatch anything unfortunate enough to cross their paths and likely hunted alone due to their enormous size.

Trivia

• In addition to the wildlife, Torvald makes reference to a monster called The Leviathan.
  • Furthermore the Glacial Serpent was also called Leviathan early in production before getting its name changed.
• They are one of the largest creatures in Evolve even dwarfing the likes of Kraken and Behemoth.
  • They are rivaled only by the Glacial Serpents in terms of sheer size.
