Impalers were creatures that were supposed to appear in the base game but were inevitably cut.

Appearance

They resemble barnacles at first glance however they open up to reveal many tentacles and 2 sharp tentacles which they use to impale creatures, their roots are below the ground meanwhile the main body is typically on overhangs and cliff edges.

Locations

The Impalers inhabited Desert regions.

Behavior

Impalers lie in wait for prey to come along, they will then impale the creatures passing by killing them in order to feed the roots below.

Reasons for being cut

They were eventually removed due to being too difficult to spot and didn't require the help of teammates like the Carnivorous Plant did.
